A big thank you to the London Writers Eclective ( see link above) who have invited me to one of their monthly events to launch A Justifiable Madness.
So, on 10th November I will be off to the bright lights of Waterstones in Tottenham Court Rd, London, to read from my book and to meet lots of other writers. How exciting!
I have to thank my brother Simon -who seems to know an awful lot of people- for introducing me to his friend Lindsay who helps to organise these events.
I haven’t lost the local touch and will be organising something for friends and neighbours in Pavenham and in Burnham on Crouch…as promised.
Due for publication on 21st September
A Justifiable Madness
what’s it all about?
Can you really tell the difference between madness and sanity?
Mark Randall goes to great lengths to get himself admitted to an acute psychiatric ward and despite being mute, he easily persuades professionals that he is psychotic, but who is he and why is he so keen to spend time in a psychiatric hospital?
When Mark is admitted onto Pargiter Ward, silent, wrapped in a blanked to cover his nudity, staff soon become suspicious about his motives.
Dealing with this as well as meeting the patients on the ward, Mark’s troubles really begin once he is Sectioned under the Mental Health Act. Decisions about his future then lie with Consultant Psychiatrist, Dr Giles Sharman and Mark’s life is about to go from bad to worse.
Drugged, abused and in danger, Mark looks for a way out of this nightmare…
